Speaking with THE STAR, shortly before leaving for Philadelphia on Friday, Khago said he has been getting numerous overseas shows. In recent times, he said he has done several shows in Washington DC, Bronx and England. In addition, he also has shows lined up for Antigua, St Lucia, Fort Lauderdale, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Boston where he will perform at the Hot 97 show alongside several other hip-hop acts.

"Everything is a growing process, just like in Jamaica when you launch out for the first time," he told THE STAR.

Months later, Khago, especially since forming ties with Corey Todd and Claude Mills, claims that things have improved.

He said that he is now writing better music. "Right now, mi heart calm down so mi kinda a find some better songs," he said.

Evidence of this, he said, can be found in the fact that Tun Up Mi Ting on the 'Overproof' rhythm is doing well overseas and is now on New York's Hot 97 FM.

"I am finally getting to go out in the world and perform for my fans overseas, and doing radio shows in New York, Boston and Connecticut, and more people are listening to and getting to know Khago. The other day I was in New York and hear dem play Tun Up De Ting on the HOT 97 radio station and it was a great feeling, the thing gone international now," he said in a release.

Tarrus Riley - File
Tarrus Riley's recent five-date performances across the UK have spurred chart action in his latest dancehall hit, 'Summer Fling'.
The song was produced by Jordan McClure of Chimney Records. It is currently number four on the BBC1Xtra Dancehall chart in the UK.
Commenting on the song, Riley said, "I love dancehall and nothing is wrong with a song of this nature. It's something different from what my fans are accustomed to hearing me sing, and I will continue to do more dancehall songs. I am a musical artiste and people from all over the world are doing different forms of music".

reeling out hits
Riley's UK jaunt saw him reeling out the hits at five different venues. "We did five shows and every show was sold out. What I realised about performing in England was the fact that our music continues to grow," said Riley.
He added, "We did shows in Birmingham, Manchester and in London, and the fans came out ready to have fun". During his sets, Riley performed his current and former hits including Armageddon Time, She's Royal, Summer Fling and Lion Paw.
Riley, who recently covered Beres Hammond's 1980's hit Groovy Little Thing, was excited about sharing stage with the veteran crooner during the UK shows. "I sang with Beres on stage, so that, for me, was one of the highlights of the five shows. We also did a tribute to Gregory Isaacs and Sugar Minott during the performance," he said.
Aside from Summer Fling's current chart success, Riley is also enjoying multiple chart action with songs including Come Ova and Armageddon Time.
Come Ova,which was produced by Seanizzle, is currently number one in several Caribbean countries. A video for the song was recently directed by Storm Saulter and is expected to be released shortly.

Deva Bratt, Ryno - File

It was definitely Rumours of War at Face-Off Wednesday's. Hard-hitting lyrics flew from ear to ear at Club Riddim, raising the bar of what is to come in the weeks ahead as the competition continues through to December 21, 2011.
The artistes came armed and ready with lyrical ammunition which fired straight through to the end of the night's warfare.
Blazing on the battlefield was Ghetto Billionaire who hails from Portmore piercing lyrical shots against Spontaneous who failed to battle lyrically.
Bemba Stick definitely had the ear of everyone as he clapped lyrics from left to right ripping Caliber that didn't get a chance to fight back.
Excitement spurred for the ladies segment seeing Tassy Wassy and Hyrate attacking their contenders who failed to fire back with hard-hitting lyrics. Hyrate received high ratings with lyrics "gal yuh happiness jus get rob, if mi fi get mi gun and mi figet mi knife mi wi gi you a lick wid mi iron pipe"
The lyrical energy in Club Riddim was so infectious that the lyrically inclined Deva Bratt and lyrical sensation Ryno who were in attendance bolted to the stage popping off heavy lyrical rifles at the Gaza Nation as they referred to the Kartel-led empire.
"Him a sehhh yaeeoowwwwww him need fi tek a country bus guh back a St Thomas guh plant pak chowww," Ryno belted.
While Deva Bratt left many shocked faces when he blurted "dem a tattoo all part a dem den when nuh space nuh lef dem wi mek man tattoo him rear end then."
Following the fiery performances of the night was the judge's decision of who will move on to Round Three of the preliminary stage: Madjesty, GhettoBillionaire , Jinsingh, Tassy Wassy, Money Wedda, Bad Spur, Maestro, Serial Killer, Bemba Stick, Lady Hunter, Unknown, Johnny Dangerous,Poison,Hyrate, Phresh and Black Swade were all selected to continue blazing the lyrical fire in the 'Rumours of War'.
